I’m gonna give the ‘powers that should not be’ the benefit of the doubt here and say lens flare, but that still means that PGE decided to leave the sparklers active and in place during one of the worst fires in US history.

Once again, we have had mass destruction of metal, concrete, and fire resistant materials while the trees in between the incinerations would appear to be doing just fine. Hanlon’s Razor would suggest that at the very least, we need to defenestrate all of our fire prevention guidance to date and start completely anew on figuring out oxidization and ways to prevent it from burning down our cities.
Honestly, I’d feel safer if this was the work of a pure evil intelligence, because the level of stupidity being shown again and again by our “Leaders” is infinitely more dangerous.
